Categorical Programs
We believe it is critical for all students to acquire academic English, be able to speak at a proficient level and meet rigorous state standards. Our charge and mission are to Close The Achievement Gap. Making our schools work for all students, regardless of their background, condition, or circumstances, is a priority for Evergreen School District. Strong schools, where all students learn at high levels, remain the best investment for producing well-educated citizens.
The Categorical Department stands firm on these beliefs and will continue to move forward to meet the needs of all students and prepare them for a post-graduate education. Meaningful and effective curriculum aligned with rigorous standards and assessments combined with a structure for parents to have opportunities to become empowered and knowledgeable about their child’s education will ensure that we meet our goals.
“Whatever It Takes…Our Kids Are Worth It!”
Commitment to Excellence
The Categorical Programs Department is committed to reaching academic excellence for all students. As such, on-going program review is essential. The West Ed Four Dimensional District Study and the English Language Learner Master Plan provide the foundation for all categorical programs. |
