Shared Portal Experience for Laurelwood Students
Posted 01/30/2018 05:18PM

Students have the opportunity to experience the shared portal by entering into a writing contest to answer the following prompt: What would you tell people from another country about Laurelwood? Only 15-20 students will be selected to participate in this Shared Portal Experience. Contest forms are due to the office by Friday, February 2nd.

Portals are gold spaces equipped with immersive audiovisual technology. When you enter a Portal, you come face-to-face with someone in a distant Portal live and full-body, as if in the same room. Portals are set up at diverse locations including museums, universities, technology hubs, refugee camps and art centers. The Evergreen Portal will have the opportunity to connect with communities throughout the world.

This is an amazing opportunity for your child to have a global competency experience, enhance language acquisition, practice language with native speakers, launch global conversations, hear and see exciting products and/or performances.
