Important Notice Regarding Breakfast and Lunch Charging Procedure and Free/Reduced Lunch applications for the 2019-2020

The Evergreen Child Nutrition Services Department takes pride in serving nutritious meals daily to our students. We are firm believers that hungry students cannot learn. Under no circumstances do we want a child to go without lunch. We understand that parents are busy and may occasionally forget to pack a lunch or send in money. However the number of students with a negative balance has grown significantly over the last year. If your child has an outstanding balance please send in your payment before Thursday June 14, 2019 to ensure that proper credit is applied to your child's account and they do not start the next year with a negative balance.

To check your student's account balance, make payments, set up low balance email notifications, or track meal transactions, please visit www.MySchoolBucks.com. Do be advised that payments made online can take up to 24 hours to process.
IMPORTANT: Beginning August 21, 2019 your students will only be allowed two (2) charges, or carry a negative balance of $7.00, on their lunch account. There will continue to be no extension of credit at the middle schools or for a la carte purchases. Please ensure your child has money on their account or send cash or check for those purchases.

The full meal charging policy will be included for your reference in the parent handbook you receive at the beginning of the school year. Please read it carefully for the full details about meal purchases on credit, returned checks and account balance refund procedures. You are also strongly encouraged to register or update your email address in Parent Portal to receive important messages through School Messenger about your child's lunch account and other District information.

Lunch prices for the 2019-2020 school year will remain the same:
Elementary School Full Price Breakfast is $2.00 and Full Price Lunch is $3.50 Middle School Full Price Breakfast is $2.00 and Full Price Lunch is $3.50 Reduced Price Breakfast is $ .20 and Reduced Price Lunch is $ .40 at all schools Adult Price Breakfast is $2.50 and Adult Price Lunch is $4.50

Applications for Free and Reduced Price Meals will be available online beginning the first week in August for the 2019-2020 school year at http://evergreen.schoollunchapp.com. Applying online is fast and convenient and your data is transmitted safely and securely for processing. New for this upcoming school year: once your online application has been processed, you receive an email with a link to see your child's eligibility and print the letter for your records. No more waiting for the results to come in the mail!

Online applications are available in English and Spanish. If you need a Vietnamese application, please print a paper application from our website or visit your child's school office for a hard copy. All applications can be found on the Evergreen District website at www.eesd.org. Click on Departments, Child Nutrition, and Lunch Application. Please return the completed application to your child's school or directly to the Child Nutrition Services department at 2828 Corda Dr. San Jose, CA 95122.
