There are now two easy ways to earn cash for our school with Box Tops: 1) You can send in box tops to the front office from any items you purchased, or 2) Download the Box Top for Education App onto your phone and scan your receipts. This school year, our goal is to earn $1,000.

Please follow all neighborhood driving and pedestrian laws. Make sure you walk with your child when crossing the street at the crosswalk. Teach your child good safety habits. For those parents wishing to drop-off and pick-up their child by car, we ask assistance in maintaining a safe parking lot. The traffic through the parking lot will be limited to the following: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 1:50-2:00pm, the parking lot is for Kindergarten pick-up traffic only. After 2:00pm, the parking lot is open to Grades 1-6 pick-up traffic. On Thursdays, from 12:20-12:30pm, the parking lot is for Kindergarten pick-up traffic only. After 12:30pm, the parking lot is open to Grades 1-6 pick-up traffic. Please be advised that parking and waiting at the curb will be prohibited as it impedes the flow of traffic. Please click on the link above to find out how you can help us keep a safe parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation.

Attention All Grade 3-8 Parents! Student CAASPP Score Reports will now be accessed electronically through the Parent Portal on our student information system. ● To access reports, sign in at powerschool.eesd.org/public . If parents have not yet created an account, a unique access ID and password will be sent with the child's report card. ● Student Score Reports are being made accessible to families as soon as student exams have been scored by the State. This means that some students may already have access to their 2019 test results in their Parent Portal while others may not. Tests are scored and released in batches and the process will be finalized over several weeks. The State does not notify us of each release. ● Parents should contact the Karen Wevers in the Instruction Department (kwevers@eesd.org or 408-270-6827) if they are unable to access their child's report, have any additional questions or need technology assistance.

In order to have better supervision and smoother transitions between lunches/afternoon recesses, we have made a slight bell schedule change starting on January 7th. Please refer to bell schedule on the school website under "Our School - Bell Schedule" tab. Instructional minutes and the start/end times of the school day are not affected. To promote school safety, Matsumoto had added Pedestrian Walking Flags and Holders. The flags are used at school intersections to help keep children safe as they walk to school. When a student holds a Pedestrian Crosswalk Flag as they use a crosswalk, they are making surrounding cars aware of their presence and giving them the confidence to safely walk to school. Please discuss the proper use of the pedestrian walking flags and holders with your children. Thank you!
