Interested in Becoming an ABC Readers?

ABC reading is a part of Project Cornerstone at Matsumoto and a great opportunity for parents to get involved in the community and make a difference! If you like to read and discuss asset building with children and can spare 3 hours a month, you are invited to volunteer as an ABC Reader parent! Join us on 9/17/19 at 6:30pm in school's library for an information session and our first volunteer meeting!

ABC Reading: Each month, ABC volunteers read a program book and lead a discussion teaching life skills and tools that build a more caring school climate. Training and materials to prepare readers will be provided each month prior to their reading session. ABC gives students a safe and caring place to talk about their feelings, experiences and concerns. Join us!

There are 8 program books that need to be covered, with the first reading in October.

Volunteers, new to the program need to fill a one time volunteer application and attend a 90-minute Asset 101 training.
