Children who develop resilience are better able to face disappointment, learn from failure, cope with loss, and adapt to change. We recognize resilience in children when we observe their determination, grit, and perseverance to tackle problems and cope with the emotional challenges of school and life.
Cynthia Howard, PhD, MSW, and District Social Worker for Evergreen School District will present an excellent parent workshop called "Developing Resiliency." There will be discussion around the following topics to support parents as they work to build resiliency skills in their children:
- Skills needed to be a successful adult
- Current research in neurological development
- Development of tasks and milestones
- Parenting strategies to build resiliency

Childcare will be provided.
Vietnamese & Spanish Translators will also be available during the presentation!
On-site food truck will be available for families to purchase dinner.
