Focus on Learners in Profile of a Learner

The vision of Evergreen School District is to engage students in authentic learning that prepares them to be global-minded citizens. We use a model called Profile of a Learner to help us bring this vision to each student that attends school in our district.

Six elements define our Profile of a Learner, an education model used throughout the district, that when connected together give our students the knowledge, skills, and attributes to pursue their individual dreams and positively impact the world in which they live.

One essential element of that preparation is teaching students to be Learners. As Learners, students are becoming academically literate while exercising the important qualities of self-directedness, perseverance, time management, communication, empathy and responsibility.
