Positive Prevention Programs

HIV/AIDS Positive Prevention materials developed by the American Red Cross are presented to 7th grade students during the month of May/June as part of the science curriculum. In addition to a presentation, an HIV/AIDS video is shown describing the impact of HIV/AIDS on individuals and family life. It identifies the myths and stereotypes regarding persons infected with HIV and emphasizes compassion and concern for persons infected with HIV. Parents are invited to a preview of the HIV/AIDS Positive Prevention Program prior to student's attending this program.
