Special Day Class

Tom Matsumoto Elementary School’s Special Day Class currently serve students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) plan in Kindergarten. The class is self-contained and staffed with one full-time credentialed teacher and one full-time para-educator. The class serves students with a variety of mild to moderate disabilities whose needs cannot be met in the general education program or in the Resource Specialist program. The focus is on providing identified students with specialized academic instruction to address their IEP goals in a structured, supportive classroom environment.
