A Note from the Health Office
Posted 08/28/2019 12:47PM

Hello Lobo Families,

Mrs. Banwait / Mrs. "B" is our Quimby Health Clerk. She is responsible for taking care of our students when they are feeling ill, have an injury, or need any medical assistance. Mrs. "B" checks that all students have the appropriate immunization records and that all students on a health plan are given the appropriate care. Mrs. B can be reached via email at sbanwait@eesd.org or at 408-270-6735.

Please review the following reminders:

* If a student experiences a fever, diarrhea, and/or vomiting, they must remain home for 24 hour and be clear of all symptoms.

* Emergency contact information should be up-to-date and current in PowerSchool. Parents should ensure that emergency contact information is uploaded to PowerSchool and current. When a child needs to be checked out of school through the Health Office, the adult picking up the child must be on the emergency contact list. Any and all adults checking out a child from school will need to present identification. This is a safety protocol.

* Students are not to carry medications (prescription and/or over the counter) in their backpacks. All medications are to be reviewed with Mrs. B via the Health Office.

* Medical notes should be provided through the Health Office if your child has a an injury and it impacts their ability to participate in PE, or they need class-to-class assistance. Mrs. B communicates to the PE teachers and makes sure that all important adults are aware so that you child is safe at school!

Lastly, below you will find a link for Evergreen School District's nutrition guidelines. This is particularly important regarding celebration food items and that food sharing is prohibited on campus.
