After School Band

After School Band at Silver Oak is a PTO-coordinated extracurricular program that is run by band director and upper grade music instructor, Mr. Andrew Boyd.

All interested 5th and 6th grade Silver Oak students are welcome to join the band program. No musical experience is necessary. Rehearsals run from the fall to the spring and culminate in a Spring Concert that all are welcome to attend!

REHEARSALS

Rehearsal assignments will be as follows:

THURSDAYS (starting 10/03/19, minimum days)
12:45 - 1:45 - Beginning Flute & Clarinet
1:45 - 2:45 - Beginning Brass & Percussion (Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Alto Sax, Drums)
2:45 - 3:45 - Advanced Band & Percussion

Rehearsal times and groupings may be adjusted on Thursdays as the year goes on, with notice. Additional rehearsals may be added as the Spring Concert in May approaches.

(Make sure that the neck strap has sufficient padding for comfort)
