The 2020-2021 school year was scheduled to kick off another 3 year cycle of the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). However, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and shelter in place, the California Department of Education is requiring a one-year plan entitled the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP). Due to the rapid increase of COVID-19 positive cases, the district's inability to staff due to the surge of COVID-19 cases among custodians and office staff, and the inability to sanitize our school sites put our students and staff at risk, has resulted in the decision to close offices and schools two days prior to winter break.

At a special meeting on December 3, the Evergreen School District Board of Trustees approved continuing distance learning for its TK-8 students and bringing back small stable cohorts for targeted vulnerable and at risk student groups for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. Read more...

COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise. The Health Officer has issued new and revised risk reduction directives to slow the spread and protect hospital capacity, effective today. Also, effective today, you must quarantine for 14 days after traveling more than 150 miles from Santa Clara County.
